Our Mission

Through exploration, documentation, and education, the Docomomo US/Colorado chapter’s mission is to advocate for the preservation, conservation, and adaptive reuse of modern-era architecture, landscapes, planning, and design in Colorado. This group will work to partner with local, state, regional, and community organizations to enhance and promote both public and professional appreciation and education of the modern movement. With this mission, the chapter seeks to protect and advance the ideas, philosophies, and principles of modernism and sustainability for future generations.

What we do

Do.co.mo.mo is an acronym for the documentation and conservation of the Modern Movement.  Our chapter upholds this mission through community outreach,  group discussion,  and a variety of events.  Such happenings include field trips, assistance and guidance with historic designations and grant applications, as well as collaborating with local organizations and groups that align with our values.
